Skyblue Mind Marathon

Academically I was an ordinary student but I was very creative and I was driven towards art and designing. I was inspired by my art teacher during that time and decided to be an art teacher. I pursued my education in art after 12th and post that I pursued an education in design. After studying art, I came to Ahmedabad and realised that there was a lot of growth opportunities. I realised that I wouldn’t get those opportunities in my small village as there were very limited education and career growth opportunities.

While I was studying, I started working with small ventures, teaching art to children in schools, private coaching and tuitions.

While I was pursuing my dream I also took up a government job. But then one day I saw the movie Guru which inspired me so much that I immediately resigned from my job and decided to start my own venture. Initially I did not tell my family that I had resigned. I had sent a message to everyone in the family that I’ve stopped my tuitions and everything and started my own venture where I’ll start training for art and design. And from there Skyblue started!

We have various sections - Skyblue Institute of Design, Skyblue Art Activity, Skyblue Stationery Mart, Skyblue Wowsum. The first two are education and the other two are retail. My wife, Rupa Pithadia, joined in my creative journey and is my key support especially in running the education sections, mainly art activity. My father is looking after the stationery division today.

Now Skyblue in many cities. Like Ahemedabad,rajkot, surat, baroda, Bhavnagar, Besides the Skyblue Institute of Design. head office in Ahmedabad we have a branch at Bhavnagar. We also have four branches of Skyblue Art Activities, 4 branches of Skyblue Stationery Mart and a new age art and gifting concept called Wowsum.
